Expectations
Hello Fashion 8 Friends:
I would like to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Gabriel, and I have a been a fashion blogger for the past six years. I keep a fashion blog through the Google website. There, I wrote biographical sketches about Angie Everhart, and Rachel Hunter. I also interviewed Sacha L. Baumann and Maria Emma Serrano on Gia Carangi and Rene Russo respectively. They were kind enough to share with me their considerable knowledge about Gia and Rene. I thank you and I love you both. One of my otherfavorite blog posts has to include my interview with fashion designer Steven Miller. His "spider web" gowns are amazing. Thank you for your great insights about fashion and design.
In 2018, I wrote a blog for the fashion outlet Alyea Collections. It was an honor and a privilege to write for that great website. Along the way, I met some exceptional people including Ash and the model Catherine DiSpigno. Ash has great confidence in my writing and I thank him for inviting me to write for AC. When it comes to modeling, Catherine is an artist. Pure and simple. She has curiosity and understands the fundamentals of how to work with the camera. It was also an honor to write a blog post about the feminist writer Kacey Kells. Her fashion taste is impeccable. Best of all, she has been an incredible friend.
Currently, I write a social blog for News That Moves. I want to thank the editor and publisher Paige Bluhdorn for her interest in my writings. Her reflections about the fashion world and all things ballet have inspired me beyond words. It has been an honor to work for her website. And I hope to write many more blog posts for her. Some of my favorite blog posts include interviews with the hairstylist Chany Catala and artist/model/song writer Rosie Vela. They are extraordinary people, and I appreciate their great feedback about fashion and modeling.
What can you expect from my Fashion 8 blog? I will briefly describe the attire and what accessories go well with a dress, blouse, or skirt. Fashion can spark fond memories of travel to faraway places like Athens, Brussels, or London. One of my favorite cities is Paris. The bookstores and the museums are enchanting. Over the years, I have learned a bit about the beautiful world of Coco Chanel and Christian Dior. They have inspired me to learn all I can about fashion and modeling. There is much to know, and I am excited by it all. Fashion can also bring out the storyteller in me. Michigan is an excellent source for creative writing. So, please do not be surprised if you come across names like "Caseville," "Port Austin," or "Copper Harbor" in my posts. These Michigan towns mean the world to me. I hope you will find my stories entertaining and inspiring.
What are my fashion tastes? I love the "free spirit" look and I am enchanted with all things Bohemian. There is something captivating about floral dresses and beaded jewelry. I think racerback tank tops and leather jackets bring out the sensual side of a woman's beauty. I also love the Little Black Dress. So beautiful, so alluring. The fashion designer Stella McCartney once wrote: "A little black dress is something to rely on. To fill you with confidence and ease. To have an attitude that is pure and effortless, yet sexy and classy.” Amen to that.
I hope that this blog post gives you a better idea of what are my expectations and goals. I look forward to writing more and receiving your feedback.
Sincerely,
Gabriel xoxo
